Professional
Military GradeProven steel in military quality. Used in, among others, the KM2000BW of the German Army. Steels following EN 1.4110 typically also meet EN 1.4116.
Professional Plus
Civilian GradeA popular steel for the civilian market. Used in, among others, knives of the SEK-Series.
Professional Enhanced
High-EndA high-end steel for the civilian market. Used in, for example, the GEK and the GEK-EDC.
Professional Bayonet Steel
Military Bayonet GradeThe standard for military bayonets, such as the B2005, KCB 77 or US M7. This is a spring steel, which is also commonly used in swordmaking applications.
Special Steels
Niolox / SB1
A hotly anticipated special steel, available in the EBS-United I and Artemis.
Niolox+ / SB1+
A new to us, hotly anticipated special steel. Exclusively available in the Eickhorn – Bastards Knives – Schanz collaboration, specifically in the models EBS-United II (Bastards Knives) and EBS-United III (Schanz). Niolox+ is chemically equivalent to Becut.
CPM MagnaCut
Designed by Dr. Larrin Thomas, this well-balanced but pricy steel has taken the market by storm. Current production using this steel uses US-made MagnaCut from before Crucible's insolvency and sale. Knives using this steel are currently in production.
RWL-34
Manufactured by Damasteel in Sweden, this steel is a component of the popular titular Damasteel and commonly used by custom knife makers. Knives using this steel are currently in production. RWL-34 is chemically similar to CPM-154.
Balbach Damast
Hand-forged by Markus Balbach, this steel is available in our current Damascus models, such as the Finewave.
Damasteel
From the famous Swedish company Damasteel, this steel was used in our legacy Damascus products. It is currently only available in the Balance Damascus.
