About

Description

The Defender-Series contains three models: Defender 90, 110 and 130.

Each model features a slightly longer blade whilst maintaining the handle you already loved from the GTK or GEK (pre-2016). This allows you to choose the correct size for your use-case.

The 4.7mm thick Eickhorn Professional blade is tough and robust. The back of the blade can doubtlessly withstand massive hammer blows, for example to split Bone, and is greatly suitable for Batoning (splitting firewood with a knife in a survival scenario by using a wooden baton, typically a suitable branch, to drive the knife through a wooden log).

The anti-slip Rough-G10 handle scales enable safe handling. There is a bored hole at the end of the handle to attach a paracord loop for additional safety.

The Defender features the established and well-loved Scandi Grind with what competitors call a "micro bevel", a small secondary bevel we apply from the factory to make the knife more versatile out of the box. The Scandi Grind makes sharpening in a survival situation much easier, and the "micro bevel", which you can forego when re-sharpening if you prefer, increases edge stability and retention at the cost of a small amount of cutting performance.

You can choose either a lightweight cordura sheath with a hook and loop closure and a belt loop, or a robust kydex sheath with our Multi-Lock Adapter.
